Professional Experience：
Currently oversees OSHA’s efforts on compliance assistance, on-site consultation in all of the fifty US states and territories, alliances, partnerships, exemplary employer recognition, 28 independent state OSHA programs, and international affairs. Served in various roles with Michigan OSHA for 28 years from field industrial hygienist through various supervisory positions completing the last 10 years as Director of the program.

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) since 1984.

New Issues and Approaches in Occupational Safety and Health for US OSHA
US OSHA has used a balanced approached to improving worker safety and health in the US. This includes firm and fair enforcement, broad-based compliance assistance and helping small to medium-sized high hazard employers have the information and tools to protect their employees.
Moving forward, OSHA is also refocusing efforts to address new and emerging issues and provide services to workers to that have traditionally been underserved. This session will address OSHA’s current and future responses to the pandemic; broad initiates related to heat stress, fall protection, grain handling and safety and health programs; special efforts related to heat stress; workplace violence; suicide prevention; and opioid addition.
